forstyrrelse. Thereminen en magisk ether,
hvor musikeren fungerer overfor sine toner
lik en dirigent håndterer sitt orkester. Sivert
Nikolai Nesbø, Erik Andreas Røkland og
Karen Skog improviserer frem små konserter
med de klomsete instrumenter. Et skakket
univers av skjeve toner der beveger seg
frem og tilbake.

5 concerts with Karen Skog Orkester

The three musicians master the four instruments.
A cello, a violin, a found harmonium, which
started out as the companion of an itinerant
preacher who travelled far and wide, and last
but not least, the electronic instrument which,
on the request of Leon Theremin, sends out
tones void of any mechanic disturbance. The
Theremin is a magical ether, where the musician
is to his or her tones, what a conductor is
to his orchestra. Sivert Nikolai Nesbø,
Erik Andreas Røkland and Kare Skog improvise
into existence small concerts on the
clumsy instruments; a crooked universe of
off-kilter tones that move back and forth.
