The Museum of Longing and Failure (MOLAF) is an experimental museum founded and operated by the Bergen-based artist duo Lewis & Taggart. For each installment, a group of contemporary artists / collectives are invited to contribute small sculptural works created with the MOLAF’s thematic concern in mind.

Since its inception in 2010, the MOLAF has made appearances in Bergen, Copenhagen, New York City, Dawson City, Krakow, and Leipzig. The presentation of the museum changes and adapts in relation to its context, and has often manifested in the form of a window installation. From June 6th to 22nd, The Museum of Longing and Failure will travel to Trondheim to occupy RAKE Visningsrom; a unique and befitting architecture, having been constructed almost entirely from reconstituted windows. For the occasion, five new works will be presented, in addition to a new series of scale models based on previous MOLAF cabinets and displays.
